Whether it is a sensation or a story about existence unfolding in the songs of singer-songwriter Claus Rydskov, the tonal quality is unique and personal. Embracing traditional English and American immediate songwriting as well as the sparse and yearning sounds of his Nordic inheritance.  

Debuting in 1994 with the critically acclaimed EP 'Between night and day'. The full-time successor 'Dark room white nights', mixed by John Wood (Nick Drake, Louden Wainwright, Nico, John Cale), was released in 2004. The 2010 album 'If this is a man' once more included collaboration with John Wood , this time as producer/ engineer, and was mastered by Gavin Lurssen/ Reuben Cohen (Ben Harper, Krauss/ Plant, Leonard Cohen, Johnny Cash, Lenny Kravitz).

Claus Rydskov is currently in the studio working on a double album, which a.o. will feature the song 'Be still my beating heart' among 15 other songs.
